Pat Mims

Pat Mims is the Director of the Reentry Success Center. He is a long-time resident of Contra Costa County. His work has been instrumental in aiding to develop meaningful and more seamless opportunities for those who are formerly incarcerated and returning back to their communities. Pat’s work in the community has earned him numerous accolades and recognition, including the FBI Director’s Community Leadership Award; the District Attorney of Alameda County, Nancy O’Malley’s My Hero Award; Freedom House’s Stewardship Award; and the California Association of Black Lawyers Community Leadership Award. In 2016, President Barack Obama acknowledged Pat for his work in advocating for higher education in the prison system. Pat is passionate about restorative justice and the healing of harms committed against the community.
